Ramadan 2019 (Part 7)

There are different non obligatory acts that all of us can be involving ourselves with during this month to strengthen our fasts, and possibly get even more reward for completing. From there are things such as;

  1. Hastening to break ones fast when they are sure that the time has come to do so.
  2. Making sure to make sahoor (the pre-dawn meal), even if it is nothing more than a small amount of water.
  3. To delay making the sahoor until as close to but before the time for Fajr as possible.
  4. Making the du’aa for breaking the fast. “Thirst is gone, the veins are moistened and the reward is certain if Allah wills.”
  5. Trying to feed the fasting people when it comes time to break their fast.
  6. Spending an abundance of time reading the Quran.
  7. Spending much of our nights in prayer.
