In these days and times, the call to disliking one another is heard louder and more clear in many communities than the call to being unified. People find reasons to spark fitnah (troubles) between the believers. Many times, when you see think about it, these reasons are not even reasons to mention, let alone argue about. Sometimes they are simple opinions, other times they are based upon one or both parties being ignorant of the truth while thinking that the truth is with them. At times it has nothing to do with either, rather it’s just due to personalities clashing. Either way, these difference and debates are taken far out of proportion and division is started about things that many times are so irrelevant, that the parties after a week or two don’t even remember what the argument began with from the start.
These people call the to separating, division and even boycotting one another and even go as far as freeing themselves from one another. Subhana Allah. When we look in hindsight we see that most of this is usually done over a basic disagreement, over some ignorance, over some arrogance or haughtiness. It is all unnecessary and uncalled for. We separate for little issues, and completely forget that thing which is supposed to tie us together. Have we completely forgotten that we came together upon the statement that No Deity Has The Right To Be Worshiped and that Muhammad Is His Slave And Messenger? Have we forgotten that this is the foundation that makes us brothers, even when we differ?
How can we continue to allow these issues that break off from the origin cause us to split and hate one another, when the original issue is still there? How can we continue to justify this knowing that that statement that they made will stand witness for them on a serious day, in front of their Lord, yet that statement mean nothing to us? This situation really has got to change.
