Welcome back to this series. The issues that we want to talk about today is that of what the Sheikh meant when he began the definition of the Straight Path off as “Beneficial Knowledge”. He himself explained that what he was referring to was “All that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings came with from the Quran and the Sunnah”. Subhanna Allah. Is there any good, or information that can possibly be considered better or more beneficial than that? Of course not. These two sources are the place from where all beneficial knowledge is extracted.
Regardless of how hard we try, we can not think of anything, that will bring you good in both this life, and the hereafter, except that the essence of the benefit from this knowledge comes from these sources. Everything that you need for your success can be found in the beneficial knowledge contained within. This is part of what you ask Allah to guide you to over 17 times a day in your regular prayers.
The reason for pointing this out, is that this is part of what we have been referring to all of these years as the straight path. It is important for us to understand that it is not possible that we are upon it, as long as we are abandoning what it consists of, in reality. Therefore, we need to make sure that the foundation of that which we are upon, stems directly from this aspect of beneficial knowledge, so that that the next part can be considered to be correct.
