The Goal

bismillah

Many of us go by day in and day out trying to prove that we are good Muslims. We do this so much so, that sometimes we begin to feel as though our actions become more habit than actual devotion and worship. This is a problem that many of us fall into and do not even realize it.

We have to remember that we are Muslims for a reason. We pray, fast, give charity and all of those other forms of worship because we are trying to reach a goal. This goal is gaining the pleasure of Allah by following the way of His Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) to the best of our abilities. When we remember that, our actions do not just become something that we rush through just to get them done, rather they become a way for us to strengthen our personal relationship with Allah and gain His pleasure.

This is the reason why we have put together this short audio. It is a basic reminder about the goal that we all need to keep in mind when performing these acts of worship.

We hope it is a benefit to all of you, and as always, we are excited to read your comments below. Barak Allahu feekum. Don’t forget to take a second and send this to your friends and families, so they may benefit as well. You will find links to easily share this page directly under the audio.
