Signs of Allah’s might

bismillah

Indeed your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and then He Istawa (rose over) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty). He brings the night as a cover over the day, seeking it rapidly, and (He created) the sun, the moon, the stars subjected to His Command. Surely, His is the Creation and Commandment. Blessed be Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)! (Al-A’raf 7:54)

Invoke your Lord with humility and in secret. He likes not the aggressors. (Al-A’raf 7:55)

And do not do mischief on the earth, after it has been set in order, and invoke Him with fear and hope; Surely, Allah’s Mercy is (ever) near unto the good doers. (Al-A’raf 7:56)

The General Meaning

Allah directs His slaves to believing in Him and being obedient to Him, by way of having them look into His creation and pondering over it. He wants us to look at the heavens and that which is in them from the sun, the moon and the stars that are subject to His command. Also, He wants us to look at what happens in the night and the day that changes with precision. We need to take a look at the earth and that which is in it from rivers, mountains, trees, and the animals. As well, that which is between the heavens and the earth from the clouds and the breeze and the winds. All of these things are from the creation of Allah, which He created in six days.

The situation of the creation is planned out by Allah through His knowledge and His will alone. There is nothing that works with Him in doing these things. Allah has given us the night to rest in it. He has given us the days to work in them. He, as well, has caused the day to follow right behind the night. The sun, the moon and the stars are under His direct command. For Allah is the creation and He creates how ever He wills. For Him is the Command, so He plans and does with His creation what ever He wills. Allah is The Creator, and The Organizer and does these things however He pleases. It is upon the slaves to thank Allah for all of His blessings that He has bestowed upon us. Due to all of this we need to call upon Him, fearing His punishment and desiring His reward. We need not to be of those that spread evil throughout the earth. Especially after Allah has created all of these blessings as a way to make our lives more enjoyable and easier.

That which is benefited from these verses

  1. That Allah’s creation is a sign of His power, knowledge and mercy.
  2. When the creation looks at the way that things are put together is such detail, it  leads to one being certain that none has the right to be worshiped other then Allah.
  3. The obligation of mankind being thankful to Allah for all of His blessings and mercies that He has bestowed upon us.
