In this part, I want to show you how the challenge from Allah to the Arabs came about in its stages. You will see that in each part of the challenge, they realized that they were unable to do so.
Take a look at this;
When the Arabs began accusing Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) of making up that which he (may Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) was teaching the people (The Quran). He challenged them with the statement of Allah.
{Or they say, “He (Prophet Muhammad peace and blessing be upon him) forged it (the Quran).” Say: “Bring you ten forged Surah (chapters) like unto it, and call whomsoever you can, other than Allah (to your help), if you speak the truth!”}
[Hud 13]
Once they realized they were unable, He challenged them with the statement of Allah
{And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Quran) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him), then produce a Surah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allah, if you are truthful.}
[Baqarah: 23]
When they found themselves unable to do so again, He (may Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) recited it upon them.
{Say: “If the mankind and the jinns were together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another.”}
[al-Isra: 88]
Allahu Akbar
