I do not want to go too far into talking about the various types of principles and conditions that are set in order for us to consider one another brothers or sisters. Once you sit and think about it, we know that there are many that have been laid out, expounded upon and misused. We want to look to see which of these are, as stated early in the conversation, ‘Universal’ or ‘Written in Stone’. This way we know which ones are a must that we apply, which are agreed upon by pretty much all of The People of the Sunnah all throughout time, and be able to separate them from all the ones that have been added into the mix.
