Good Mannerisms (Part 7)

From the benefits of our trying our best to obtain these good mannerisms that we are discussing, is that it is something that weighs very heavy on our scales on the day of judgement. This is something that there is none of us, except that we are in need of increasing in on that day. Many people will show up light on that day, and when we look at our daily lives we’ll see that most of us really do fall short in the area of good deeds. We need as much help as we can get with making our good deeds out way our bad deeds. This can be done by trying our hardest to maintain the type of mannerisms and characteristics that we have been commanded to have, in our everyday lives.

Look at the hadeeth of the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said, “There is not anything heavier on the scales of the believer on the day of judgement than good mannerisms.” This particular hadeeth is one that many of us should be familiarized with from the Sunnan of at Tirmidhi. It was declared acceptable by Sheikh al Albaani. This hadeeth says it all. There should be none of you that has read this, and understand that it is an acceptable hadeeth, except that they should understand the importance of good mannerisms should have in our lives. They should be from the first of those that realize that we all need to change our ways, causing them to be a better person from that very moment. Yes, it may be easier said than done, but the reality is that it is definitely worth the try. Don’t you agree?
