In the last post, we talked about how Allah praised the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) due to his good character. Now we want to reflect on what those around him had to say about his character and mannerisms.
One particular narration comes to mind when I think about what was said about his character. It is one that many of you have heard before. The narration comes from A’isha (may Allah be pleased with her) when she was asked about his character. Do any of you remember what the reply was? She said, “that his character was that of the Quran”. Subhanna Allah. As many times as you have heard this in the past. How many times have you given it some type of deep thought as to what was intended?
This means that he (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) remained steadfast in holding onto the Quran. This was carried out in his mannerisms, the performance of its commands and refraining from its prohibitions. When we think about this, we see that this in itself is something huge. Then on top of all of this, we understand that it includes all that is from good mannerisms and good actions that were embodied in the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him).
