One of the things that we should all try to learn as Muslims, are the basics in terms of Arabic vocabulary. In this post, we want to talk about the basic numbers. This will help us, and allow us to bring some extra benefit to our children and others. What we will begin with today are those numbers from 0 – 9. It may take a minute to focus, but you will find them very easy to learn. As a matter of fact, I will place a link to our video of these numbers to allow you to practice with the audio in the video.
The Numbers From 0 – 9
0 – Si-fr
1 – Waa-hid
2 – Ith-nain
3 – Tha-la-tha
4 – Ar-ba-’a
5 – Kham-sa
6 – Sit-ta
7 – Sab-’a
8 – Tha-man-ni-ya
9 – Tis-’a
What we have done here, is to try to type these out in phonetically to make them easy to pronounce. If you are still having problems with pronouncing these numbers, click on the video below, and you will find it much easier to follow along with, especially if you are trying to do it with your children. Barak Allahu Feekum.
