In the scenario mentioned in the last post the proper thing to do is to give the people an alternative other than staying ignorant. For example, if we believe that someone should not study Islamic History with a certain teacher, then wouldn’t it be more befitting and beneficial for them to offer another Islamic History class with another instructor rather than just telling them don’t study the topic at all. Do we really think that people are going to prefer to stay ignorant if they really had a hunger for that type of knowledge? Of course not. The only ones who will listen to that advice are generally those that were not interested in learning in the first place.
