We even see this in our lives as Muslims on a regular basis in many of our communities. The people have adopted a practice, or are moving about in a certain way, and someone comes with what they claim to be the truth that will destroy the falsehood the people are upon. So arguments start in the communities, households, and among friends about changing our ‘erroneous ways’. Then later on after all of the confusion, we find out that the original position was not actually wrong, or it was one of several possible correct positions. Therefore, we find that all of the confusion that took place was unnecessary and brought about harm to our societies for no reason. All of the discord, people not talking to one another, separation and the likes, just to find out that there was no problem with what the people were doing from the beginning. Is this not something that both has been witnessed and is witnessed quite often?
