Bearing false witness

bismillah Question:

  • What is false witness? Does it nullify ones fast?

Answer:

  • False witness is  from the major sins. It is to testify to something that you have no knowledge of, or of that which you know the opposite to be true. It does not however nullify a persons fast. It does though decrease the reward for the fast.
