“As Muslim parents, we have a responsibility to make sure that our children are afforded the opportunity to learn the basics about our religion. There are certain things that EVERY MUSLIM is obligated to know. We have to provide this, at the very least for our children. Many of us say that we have done this, or are doing this. The problem with this claim, is that not to many of us have ever asked what gets put on the list of things that every Muslim is obligated to know. Therefore, we will find that the answer changes from person to person, depending on what their experiences have taught them. Our first responsibility in getting this done is to ask the people of knowledge what these things are, and then make sure our children are properly educated in these issues.”
