“As wives, our women have to understand that their role in the Ummah is tremendous. We can not continue to allow them to believe that they are just princesses that are put up, protected and taken care of because they are wives. Rather they are the starting point for the next generation. They are the ones that begin them in their education, that instill in them their morals and manners, make sure that they grow up in a healthy environment and nurturing situation. The role that the Muslim Women play in our societies is far more important than many of us could possibly imagine. We need to allow them to understand that they have the ability to either make or break the next generation by either doing their jobs or abandoning them. They need to understand that we need them, as men, to help us do our job. Pride should be taken in the role of being a wife and mother, regardless of what society tries to tell us. How can someone that has such huge roles be anything but respected, needed and appreciated?”
