No doubt! Verily, the Auliya’ of Allah [i.e. those who believe in the Oneness of Allah and fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which he has forbidden), and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)], no fear shall come upon them nor shall they grieve. [10:62]

Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism), and used to fear Allah much (by abstaining from evil deeds and sins and by doing righteous deeds). [10:63]

For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present world (i.e. righteous dream seen by the person himself or shown to others), and in the Hereafter. No change can there be in the Words of Allah, this is indeed the supreme success. [10:64]

And let not their speech grieve you (O Muhammad SAW), for all power and honor belong to Allah. He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. [10:65]

A General Meaning

Allah tells us about His generosity towards His friends  and helpers. He tells us that they are those the believed in Him and fought against their own souls to stay upon His obedience. The carried out his  commands to the best of their abilities. They stayed away from those things that Allah has forbidden them from. { And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it), and fear Allah.} [59:7]

For these friends and helpers {Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism), and used to fear Allah much (by abstaining from evil deeds and sins and by doing righteous deeds).}  [10:63] are glad tidings in this life that will please them. In the here after they will be from among those who are high in position and nothing will come to them that will cause them to fear or worry. This is something that is obtainable by everyone regardless of your situation. A farmer, worker, student, poor person, rich individual and anyone else can obtain this as long as they fear Allah and stay aware of the fact that Allah is a watcher over us all of the time. We know that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) advised the people when he said, “Fear Allah where ever you are, Follow up every bad deed with a good one and it will wipe it away, and behave well towards the people”.

Then Allah comforted  His Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم). He told him not to worry about what the disbelievers say to and about you from their lies. You were not sent to be disgraced or looked down upon. Rather He explained to him that his Lord was able to do all things, including aiding him. For Allah is the Might, and for His Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) and for the Believers.

This is the way of calling to Allah. As long as you are patient and striving for the cause of Allah, then Allah will aide and support you in the face of your enemies.

Extracted Benefits

  1. That who ever fears Allah, then He will aid and protect them in both this life and the next.
  2. That it is necessary for the believer to be described as brave and firm and having a deep trust in his Lord. He should not feel as though Allah will not aide him or come to his rescue. This individual should not worry about what the enemies of Allah have to say about them.
  3. That any believer can be a friend or helper of Allah. It does not matter what type of work he does, his economical status, etc. As long as they believe in their Lord, fearing Him, and out striving for His cause.
