Wet dreams while fasting

bismillah

Question:

  • The one that has a wet dream while he is fasting, is his fast acceptable?

Answer:

  • Yes his fast is correct. Wet dreams are not a cause for a persons fast to be nullified. This is because it is something that happens that was not under the control of the person. Also the pen is lifted off of the person when they are sleep. We should also take the opportunity to bring to your attention about that which many of the people do in these times. They stay up all night during Ramadan, possibly doing things that do not benefit them or harm them. Then when the day time comes they sleep the whole of the day away. This is a practice that should not be followed. Rather the people should make the time that they are fasting, at time for obeying Allah, remembrance of Allah, reading the Quran and other then that which will bring them closer to Allah.
