The Importance of Being Upright

bismillah

All the praise is for Allah. The prayers and peace of Allah be upon His Prophet, and on his family, and companions and those that follow his guidance. As to that which proceeds.

The situation of Being upright is a mighty one. It is necessary for every Muslim male and female to work hard at trying to be upright and remaining like this in all situations and at all times. Everyone should not only ask, but rather beg Allah for the success in achieving this.

And you, Oh Slave of Allah, that which is upon you is to try hard to remain upon the good. You should rush to preforming the good and stick with it. You should be trying to stay far away from all evil as well as its causes and those thing that lead to it.  You must beg Allah to give you the success and His aide so that you can achieve this as well.

This  world is a place of trials and tests. It is a place of working and preparing for the here-after.

Allah created everything so that they worship Him. He sent to them the Prophets and sent down the books. He gave them sound intellects, hearing, and sight. He tried them by way of the shayyateen (devils) from mankind and the jinn as well as the desires.

So what is upon them is to use that which Allah has given them in abandoning that which will harm them from those things that Allah has tried them with, and from the callers to evil from the shayyateen from among mankind and the jinn.

This life is that of action. It is not a place of good living and endless bounties, but rather a place of action. As well it is a place of distraction and deception. Allah said in Suratul Luqman Verse 33

{فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِاللَّـهِ الْغَرُورُ }

{Verily, the Promise of Allah is true, let not then this (worldly) present life deceive you, nor let the chief deceiver (Satan) deceive you about Allah.}

It is something that has very little bliss. We see this also in the statement of Allah in Suratu Tawbah Verse 38, when He said,

 {أَرَضِيتُم بِالْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ ۚ فَمَا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ}

 {Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But little is the enjoyment of the life of this world as compared with the Hereafter.}

That which is and obligation on those that  are responsible to uphold their worship to Allah, whether they are a male or female, is to struggle hard to remain upright. So that which is obligatory is that they search out the truth and use it in doing those things that Allah has commanded and leaving off of those things that He has forbidden them from as well as trying hard to do as much good as they can from those things that are from among the highly recommended actions. This is something that strengthens a persons emaan, and takes them away from those things that harm mankind. Even if they are permissible or just disliked actions.

It is upon the slave to  leave off all things that may harm him,  those things that will make him reduce the amount of good actions they do or even leaving off all together doing different actions. Allahu ta’ala said in Suratul Fusilaat  verses 30-32;

Verily, those who say: “Our Lord is Allah (Alone),” and then they Istaqamu, on them the angels will descend (at the time of their death) (saying): “Fear not, nor grieve! But receive the glad tidings of Paradise which you have been promised! (41:30)

“We have been your friends in the life of this world and are (so) in the Hereafter. Therein you shall have (all) that your inner-selves desire, and therein you shall have (all) for which you ask for. (41:31)

“An entertainment from (Allah), the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (41:32)

This is talking about when one dies, on the day of resurrection as well as in the graves. This is a blessing from Allah upon all of you.  In Suratul Ahqaaf Verses 13 and 14 Allah says,

Verily, those who say: “Our Lord is (only) Allah,” and thereafter Istaqamu (i.e. stood firm and straight on the Islamic Faith of Monotheism by abstaining from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which Allah has forbidden and by performing all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained), on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

Such shall be the dwellers of Paradise, abiding therein (forever), a reward for what they used to do.

As well in Suratun Nahl Verse 97 Allah said,

Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter).

This is referring to a good life in this  world, and pure happiness in the here-after.

We ask that the prayers of Allah and His peace be sent over the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم), on His family and companions all together.
