There are many things that your spouse, parents or even children do not mind you doing. They make it clear that they don’t care about these things one way or another. But when you look at the reality of these things, you find that they don’t do anything but take from your time and attention. Due to this, you do not get to spend much time at all with your loved ones. Sometimes you find that you get so busy with these things that you may not even think about them for the whole day.
The more that you begin to love this individual or these individuals, the less time you spend entertaining yourself with these side things that take your attention away from them. You begin to want to spend all of your time with them, and focusing all of your energy in making them happy with you.
Why is it that we refuse to make this same sacrifice for Allah?
