Another way in which our feelings manifest themselves for our loved ones, is in our desire to please them. We strive hard to keep them smiling. We try our hardest to involve ourselves in those things that will cause them to be pleased with us regardless of the price. When they request something from us, we try to be the first one to carry out their requests.
The question at hand is “If this is how we show true love for someone, then why do we not show this same effort when it comes to showing our love for Allah?”
Subhanna Allah, when we reflect on our own situations, we find that we don’t even give even half, or even a third of the effort when it comes to the Lord of all that exists.
