bismillah

And all that We relate to you (O Muhammad SAW) of the news of the Messengers is in order that We may make strong and firm your heart thereby. And in this (chapter of the Quran) has come to you the truth, as well as an admonition and a reminder for the believers. [11:120]

And say to those who do not believe: “Act according to your ability and way, We are acting (in our way). [11:121]

And you wait! We (too) are waiting.” [11:122]

And to Allah belongs the Ghaib (unseen) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship Him (O Muhammad SAW) and put your trust in Him. And your Lord is not unaware of what you (people) do.” [11:123]

A general meaning
Allah explained to his Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) and to His slaves that those things that are mentioned in the Quran about the Messengers and their people  from the patience of the Messengers, the harsh and stubborn stances of the people, about what happened from the punishment of those that are stubborn, also the aide that comes to the believers, and what both of them have waiting for them in the hereafter are all mentioned for a reason. These stories are mentioned are lessons, advice and guidance when we look at what happened to those that have passed. As well, it them was that which made the heart and soul of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) feel at ease in terms of continuing on and calling to the guidance and spreading the call to Allah throughout the lands. Allah then commanded the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم)  to tell those that did not believer that if they continued being wicked and stubborn, to wait for and evil end, just as we wait. This is because they did not take heed to that which happened to those nations that came before them.

Then Allah explained that He is the One who knows the unseen of the heavens and the earth and the one that organizes it all. Everyone in this world belongs to Allah and will return to Him in the hereafter. From this we understand that Allah deserves to be exalted. It is only right that He is depended on, and that the creation seeks His aide when trying to accomplish their tasks after taking the legislated means. We do see after all that Allah said {and to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship Him (O Muhammad SAW) and put your trust in Him. And your Lord is not unaware of what you (people) do.} [11:123].

That which is extracted from the verses

  • The obligation of taking into consideration that which happened between the past nations and the prophets. It is upon us to think about the results that came about, and ponder on how we can benefit from these stories in our lives.
  • That is is upon us to be firm on the truth regardless of what stands in the way from problems. This is because the end result of it will be success and victory.
  • We have to put our trust in Allah and seek his aide in obtaining our needs after taking the legislated means of acquiring them.
